Problem steps recorder… a tool for e-Learning?

During a visit to Microsoft the other week one of the demos was this rather handy tool (video courtesy of Youtube)
What makes it so handy is that you can do the task in real time without stopping each step to take screenshots. With a few mods (Education Labs can you hear me?) this tool could be brilliant for e-Learning when creating user guides and the like…
- keep the red dots for mouse click locations on the screenshots (so it can be used for taking screenshots of web pages etc)
- remove the date \ time stamp if not required (add an option?)
- replace “problem” with “step” or something along those lines
- allow the steps to be exported to a VLE-friendly format, e.g. SCORM
Come on Microsoft, make me happy!
